Merry Christmas! I’m so glad you joined our Christmas cookie blog hop with recipes that are good enough for Santa! Kelly , The Tattered Pew, was the amazing organizer of this cookie hop; so grateful for all her work in putting it together. If you are coming from dear friend Amanda over at Midcounty Journal , weren’t you inspired to make her delicious pumpkin oatmeal cookies this holiday season? I am so glad she shared them, I cannot wait to make them with our family.

I’m so glad you stopped by and I’m thrilled to share with you the most delicious peanut butter blossoms recipe (with a touch of festive red icing on the top). To be upfront, I am not the most talented baker; my mother, mother-in-law, and daughters are usually the ones that do the baking in our family. So to say these are easy and delicious is a win-win for me and I hope for you too!

With just a few ingredients that you probably have sitting around in your pantry already, you can whip up these yummy peanut butter and chocolate cookies today! I love these cookies for two other reasons, too: the sparkle of the granulated sugar and the fun red holiday touch of the icing. You can use any color icing, and if you have frosting tips on hand, dotting them with frosting would be so cute as well.

Instructions:

  1. Preheat over to 375.

  2. In a bowl, stir together the first 5 ingredients until it is all smooth. Then, add the flour, baking soda and baking powder.

  3. Next, roll them into balls (about 1”) and then roll them into the extra granulated sugar. Set them atop a cookie sheet.

  4. Bake on 375 for 10 minutes.

  5. Once you pull them out of the oven, immediately add the kisses atop the cookie and lightly press into it. Then, remove the cookies quickly from the pan to parchment paper or cooling racks.

  6. Sprinkle with the additional granulated sugar and add dots of festive icing.
